karthike ,The Hindu god who was the son of lord Shiva and  Maa Parwati. He is also known as God of victory,War and Knowledge commander of the Gods. Karthike is a major deity among the hindus of Tamil Nadu, Kerela, Karnataka, Andra pradesh ,Telangana and uttarakhand. Among the six busiest temples of south India ,three are dedicated to Karthike. Lord Karthike was born in the form of six children and was taken care of by kritika who was wife of sapta rishi , hence he is also called Karthike Dhatri.In different states karthike is worshipped with different names.
